Deadman Wonderland
Igarashii Ganta, you’re supposed everyday high scholar suddenly thrown into a special prison, the Deadman Wonderland, for a crime he didn’t do. With special powers to turn blood into weapon *Ganta gun, kabaaam!!*, weird yet familiar cute girl name Shiro and the fight to save his life in a battle royale situation.
I’m giving extra thumbs up for the early chapters. Really, scrawny little boy suddenly plunged into a morbid world? Sound interesting, nee~~
Psyren
Forced in a ‘game’ that sent the players into a destroyed world where they’re supposed to find their way out to return to the real world. Follow Ageha Yoshina and co. in their adventures as they realized that this ‘game world’ (which was badly destroyed an all) is the future of their world! No worries though, these kids have special mental powers (PSI) that made them able to manipulate things (heals, eagle eye vision, spirit gun, etc)
Ahh, tell you what. I’m always weak with the ‘nakama’ and the ‘we gotta save the world or whaaa..!’ kind of theme. Great character design, and the ‘say whaat!!’ awesome story development.
Pandora Hearts
Oz Vessalius a rich and carefree boy. At his coming-of-age ceremony, he was cast into the prison known as the ‘Abyss’, only to be saved by a ‘Chain’ known as Alice who tied a contract with Oz in order to find her missing memories.
Thick heavy plot, gyuu~~~ And lovely characters that you just want to kidnap and pack them up in small boxes. Heavy reference to Lewis Carroll’s works.
Persona 4
The ‘main character’ Seta Souji who just moved into the foggy city of Inaba where mysterious death by hanged at the tv antenna recently occurred. Later on with his new friends, he discovered that he could enter the tv world that may have something to do with the mysterious death going on rampant. Fighting monster called shadows with Personas they gain by accepting their dark self, Seta Souji and friends decided to investigate the connection and maybe capture the culprit.
To be completely honest, I’m in just in because I want to see who ‘Shirogane Naoto’ is. But turns out the manga isn’t exactly that bad, so why not?
Tegami Bachi
Cry baby Lag Seeing was a ‘letter’ need to be delivered by a postal officer Gauche Suede. In a hard journey to get to their destination they become friends and thus motivated little Lag to become a postman just like Gauche. Years passed by and Lag finally achieved a position as a postman, only to find his idol mysteriously disappeared. Together with his ‘dingo’, Lag delivers letters that contains ‘hearts’ while searching for Gauche..
The drawings! The story! The steam punk fashion! I fell in love at the first sight and couldn’t help but to be engrossed by this manga.
Bakuman

Katekyo Hitman Reborn
Tsunayoshi “Tsuna” Sawada, who is chosen to become the Vongola Family’s boss due to him being the great-great-great-great grandson of the first Vongola boss. He is told by Reborn that he will become the tenth (Italian decimo) Vongola boss. Through his experiences, the initially clumsy and underachieving Tsuna unconsciously becomes stronger and more confident, which ultimately makes him better suited as the Vongola Family’s boss despite continuing to reject his Mafia inheritance.
I did say I have a thing for the weaklings turns out to be hero kind of loving, ne? So yep, KHR goes with a high recommendation and some more extra for those who’d like to visit the paradise of bishi in suits fighting like hell :3
Bleach
Kurosaki Ichigo, a teenager gifted with the ability to see spirits. His life is drastically changed by the sudden appearance of a Shinigami Kuchiki Rukia. When Rukia is severely wounded defending Ichigo from a Hollow (nasty spirit monster for short), she attempts to transfer half of her energy to Ichigo. However, Ichigo takes almost all of her energy, transforming into a Soul Reaper and allowing him to defeat the Hollow with ease. With her powers reduced, Rukia is left stranded in the human world and Ichigo must take over her role as a Soul Reaper, battling Hollows and guiding souls to the afterlife world known as the Soul Society.

Ahhh… I wasn’t expecting my self to be drawn by a Josei manga, but this one grab my heart and squeezed it dry. So much love, family, friendship and growing pain in one series.
